About Breyer Home Buyers
Hi! We’re Shawn & Melissa. We grew up in Tennessee, relocated to Michigan for a few years, and now we have been in Georgia for several years. We recently got married and we have a family of three (if you count our dog, Tater).
We met in Atlanta. At the Georgia Aquarium to be exact. After moving around a bit after college, we decided to come back and make Atlanta our home.
I, Shawn, was born and raised on a farm. We raised cattle, chicken, ducks, pigs, you name it and we had it. We also grew tobacco for numerous years. I didn’t want to be a farmer when I grew up so I did what any person would do.. I went to college in my hometown. I got a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Melissa grew up in Nashville. Some might call her a small town girl (only those from Atlanta). She went to State Champs in high school tennis. After obtaining an English degree in undergrad, she now is pursuing a degree in Real Estate & Small Business Law.
Our lives revolve around being outdoors, growing ourselves, helping others, and most important to us – family and friends. We spend a lot of time hiking. Our most recent backpacking trip was to Pictured Rocks on Lake Superior.
After buying a few rental properties in Michigan, we decided to move to Atlanta, Georgia to build a real estate business helping people get out of tough situations. Meet Shawn – The Crazy One
Shawn got bit by the real estate bug in 2014. Since then he’s built a rental portfolio for his family and has experienced the joys and headaches of rental property ownership. After meeting with hundreds of other investors, he decided to build a real estate company to bridge the gap he saw – caring about the customer and not just the deal.
Besides real estate, Shawn loves his wife (gotta give credit), woodworking, mountain biking, and spending as much time as possible with family and friends.
Meet Melissa – The Problem Solver
Melissa is our face, voice, and behind-the-scenes-doer. She loves learning about people, meeting dogs, and serving others as best as she can. She’s thrilled to be able to help her community untangle themselves from properties that are no longer serving them. And when she’s not at work, she loves hiking with her husband, cuddling with her dog, and watching documentaries on Netflix.
Meet Herbie – Our Go-Getter
Herbie loves spending time hiking, camping, and fly fishing with his dad and sons in Montana. He’s a father to a furry friend named Boomer. When he’s not helping out homeowners, he spends most of his nights and weekends with his 3 children and 3 grandchildren.
